Be a Servanteen this summer!

Spirit Camp 2012: Monday - Thursday, July 23-26. We hope YOU will be part of the "Amazing Desert Journey" team! All youth currently in grades 6-11 are eligible to apply for the privilege and responsibility of being a Servanteen. (Btw, if you're a senior right now, you can still help at Spirit Camp! You just won't be called a Servanteen anymore. See Mrs. Schaefer for more info.)

Here's what you do:

1. APPLY (download below; also available at church) - be sure YOU fill it out, not your mom or dad. Answer every question, or we may hand it back to you! Remember, you AND a parent both need to sign all the necessary places. Take this seriously. It's important for Spirit Camp, and it's good experience for you for the future, too. Due May 6 - but just do it now so you don't forget. In fact, turn it in by the end of spring break for a surprise! :)

2. BE THERE on Sunday, July 22 for training - 9am-2pm. This is really important. The morning includes full staff training (adults too) during Sunday school, and staff commissioning during either the 8:00 or 10:30 service (your choice). Then it's Servanteens only from 11:30-2:00: pizza, t-shirts & everything you need to know. If you absolutely can't be there on the 22nd (for example, you already have a airplane ticket to fly home from Timbuktu on Sunday afternoon) talk with Mrs. Poage or me and we'll see what we can work out. But with nearly 4 months to plan for it, let's try for 100% attendance!

If you have a friend you think would also be a good addition to the Spirit Camp team, please pass this along to him or her as well.

3. JOIN the Spirit Camp group on facebook, to catch any late-breaking and exciting news as it happens.
